Default Brakes Problem

I just changed my brake pads, i put in ProStop, which are good brake pads. My pedal was kinda spongy before i changed them, and now once i changed them, the pedal can touch the floor. I bled the brakes, and it is the same thing. They dont stop as well as they should. I noticed that my right front caliper is leaking a bit, and the left isn't. I have drums in the back, and idk what the problem could be. Anyone have any ideas. This is a huge problem, tell me what i need to do if you know. Thanks.

well if the front is leaking, theres your problem. Brakes aren't supposed to leak even a bit, so fix that first. Then look into your brake booster and cylinder

dude brake systems are a controlled sealed hydraulic pressure system. if any leak is present the system has failed no matter how small. you must replace the leaky caliper, you can buy both fronts fully loaded with pads or with out from autozone for about 150 after u return the old ones. did it on my friends ek and brakes like a charm.. if ur not sure how to do it get a friend to help u that does. your life depends on your brake system so keep that in mind if ur trying to cut corners

Hey if you do decide to get new brakes, hit me up cause I have a spare 11.2" caliper and rotor for the Civics(EX/Si knuckles) The rotors are new and I will sell them for $300 shipped. The calipers are rebuilt and painted to any color you like. Does not come with brake pads so let me know.

On your brakes, before you start buying this and buying, have your friend help you bleed the fronts again and then turn the car on and step on the brake pedel just enough force to bring the pedel down like taking it out of park.

Does it go down slowly? If so then your MC might be bad.

On a freshly bled brake system even with a slight leak if the pedal goes down slowly then it could be the MC unless of cause your slight leak is more then a slight leak.

nah i dont need rotors, i just need a new caliper now i guess, i bled them perfectly but they are leaking a bit. the stop if u press them way in. and are not very sensitive for some reason. i will just get some calipers for 85 and hopefully that will fix my problems.

My offer was for a complete brake upgrade actually to convert your standard 10.3" brakes to the ITR ones which include: Calipers & Rotors

I sold a few of them already and thought I throw the last set I have out there.
