brakes failing, fluid leaking out of brake booster
I have fluid leaking out of the bottom of my brake booster in my 95 civic lx, w/ D15B7 and 5 spd tranny and ABS. In addition to this my brake light stays on, my pedal sinks to the floor and it only slows down the car a little bit. The fluid was below minimum when I checked it but there was still some fluid in there. I filled the resevoir up to max and the brake light went off for a few minutes, but then turned back on (with no positive effects on the brakes, either). The brake fluid leaked to the same spot that I found it at with my short trip.
Is there any way you can test the master cylinder and the brake booster seperately?
Also, on a side note..for anyone who has the same engine as me, could you tell me if you have a MAF sensor on your car? I have a shitty ram air intake that came with the car when I bought it and theres not even a place for a MAF sensor on it, and no MAF sensor to be found anywhere. I have a MAP sensor, but I thought these hondas used a combination of both MAP and MAF sensors?
Thanks for reading and if you guys can think of anything that could help me please let me know, I need brakes..

sounds like you answered your own questions........You either have a leaky master cylinder or brake booster. Take it apart find the leak and replace/repair it. You can add gallons of brake fluid but with a leak in the system you will never have a positive pedal or retain brake fluid.

sounds like a brake master to me if fluid is coming out for your booster. Also your year civic i think only has a MAP sensor.

This. Have you also checked the seal on the top? Sometimes those blow out. Had that happen to my rusty trusty Dodge Ram. It's not good to run it low either, not sure if it will cause damage.(Can someone else confirm?)

Also if it is my master cylinder is there anywhere I can buy the pushrod clearance adjustment tool (07JAG-SD40100) and return it within 30 days or something like that? I really do not want to buy a 110 dollar tool or have my brakes drag because I didn't adjust the pushrod

I replaced my master cylinder and never adjuster the pushrod. Seemed a bit excessive. Why would the new part be particularly different than the old one.
I'd say if you are worried about pushrod clearance, you could jack up the wheels and have a friend press the pedal none, a little, a little more and gain some confidence that when the pedal aint pushed, the brakes aint squeezing.

I'm pretty sure there's no way that brake fluid could (appear to) leak from the brake booster unless it leaked from the master cylinder first.
If you really want to make sure, how about removing the master cylinder, clamping it down somewhere, filling it up, and pressing in the piston to see if there are any leaks?
There are lots of videos on youtube about how to remove the master cylinder, too.
