brake upgrade worth it?? what kind of pads?
i have a set of GSR calipers that will fit on my 10.4" EG-SI rotors.. is this upgrade worth it? will i notice a diffence in braking power? i do not have ABS on my hatch and need to stop faster with the mods currently done..
also if i do the conversion what kind of pads should i get for a daily driven hatch w/ occasional track events?

Are you sure that the calipers will fit on your brackets?
brackets=(me not knowing the name for the A arm deal)
I think that you have to shave part of the caliper to get
them to fit. I just tried to swap calipers and rotors on
to my 92cx and needed the whole arm for the calipers
to bolt up.
Anywho back to the question. If you get them on I think that
it will be worth it. I would recommend upgrading your master
cylinder and the booster if your going to do it though. It is
very easy, unlike what most people say about it. I have a few
15/16th set ups available if anyone is interested.

your front brakes are not 10.4 inches.
If you don't have ABS, then you have the cute 9. something inch rotors with Civic calipers.
To use GSR calipers on anything besides ITR, GSR or ABS Civic spindle assemblies....well, you can't.

funny.....i got 10.3" rotors on my civic. iirc, the gsr calipers are actually the same size as ex/si calipers. if not, the caliper should bolt to the caliper bracket/pad guides anyhow. you'll have to use your old pads with that configuration though.
upgrading the caliper is a waste though. good pads/fluid/tires is all you really need to make your car stop good. fwiw, i use stock honda pads for autocross still because i haven't found any weaknesses with them. multiple runs back to back with lfb and they don't fade even though they are smoking like crazy.

i also have the gsr brackets... does that make a difference? i thought that the piston was acutally larger on integras.. so i will have gsr calipers and gsr sized brake pads because i have the brackets also.

I can tell you that the piston is larger in the 94-01 Teg than the 96-00 EX but I don't know about the 95. I just replaced my 99 EX calipers with 99 Teg calipers and they bolted up just fine.

OEM pads are great. Most high end pads are made to deal with heat that does not occur in daily driving. Usually in most cases the stock brakes on a car are very sufficient. Tires make the biggest difference in your stopping. Get stainless lines and good tires!

AEM just had nissin (stock brake/pad manufacturer) make them some kind of carbon composite pads...
pdiggitydog has them on here... he says they're great...
