Brake Swap!!! *** Already Searched *** Need your help!!!
Some of the archived threads are somewhat useful, but I couldn't find a definite answer about the e-brake cables for my particular swap.
I have a 94 DX COUPE (EG)
I want to install Integra Rear Disc Brakes
What E-brake / Parking brake cables do I need?
Will a 91 LS cable set work??
Will a 93 Integra cable set work??
Thanks guys

Im almost certain that you need 92-95 rear disc ebrake cables or 94+integra. I haven't ever tried to use the older cables. I think its worth a shot. Im assuming you already have the ebrake cables with the disc swap. The ebrake cables are not that hard to swap and if they are still hooked up to the integ. brakes, it would be really easy to run them up to the ebrake lever and see. Ive got a hunch that they might actually be just fine. Its definitely worth a shot. If nothing else, you tried and still have to get ebrake cables, or better yet it will work and save you some money. Good Luck!

Yeah - actually I do NOT have the cables (nothing came with the disc conversion I have) -
So I would need 94+ teg cables, and you're suggesting that 90-93 cables WON't fit??
The question still remains,...
Would cables from a 91 or 93 integra work with this application???

rear disc ebrake cables are all the same for 90-2001 honda civics and integras. yes the brackets in which they bolt up to the frame are different . for instance
eg or dc2 ebrake cables on a ef will bolt right up except one bracket which is easily bendable won't mount up exactly but it wont' make your ebrake cables hang or anything like that
i have done many rear disc conversions and i've used all types of ebrake cables. they all work. i've even changed out the hubs on a disc brake and put them on a drum rear trailing arm . guess what it bolts right up . so if you have ever experienced a bent rear trailing arm just use stock arms from your model year civic and change the hubs out . thats it.
so da rear disc brake cables will work on any car .
eg , ek , dc2 ef ,
don't believe me tell that to all 9 of my team members who have 95-2001 gsr rear disc on there ef's and da's.

If you are going to buy new cables, just get 92-95 si (perfect bolt on). If you can't find those used, get 94-01 integra ones. There are 2 plates on each one that bolt to the underside of the car. On the drivers side, only one of the integras match up. I thought about bending the other to try to get it to match, but I found that there is a drain hole in the chassis that I could use. You will need a "body bolt" from lowes (in hardware in one of the automotive drawrs). It is a short, fat, tapered bolt that looks like a black bee hive (get the biggest one). thread it in and adjust your e-brake lever.
