Brake rotor rubbing against my caliper bracket.
Hey guys, I was changing my right axle and noticed my rotor is rubbing against the caliper bracket. Unfortunately, I drove it a very short distance before I realized it.I took the new axle out and put the old axle back in with the old axle nut and it still rubs. Wheel bearing spins fine and smooth. Here are the pictures.

Any idea would be greatly appreciated. I'm at a lost here
Thanks everybody.

It looks like the wheel hub is coming out of the bearing. That is not supposed to happen if the axle nut is kept tight. The two parts should be flush with each other on the inside.
Tightness is (IIRC) on the order of 150 ft-lb.

Oh, this might be it!
So, do I just hammer the wheel hub back in or it is bad now?
Thanks for the help :D

Re: Brake rotor rubbing against my caliper bracket.
I had this car for a while and this is my first time doing axle on this car. I did forgot to tighten the axle nut and backed out of the drive way before stopping. I think the bracket might've bent like 94EG! suggested.

Re: Brake rotor rubbing against my caliper bracket.
OK. This is really simple to fix and I feel like a dunce after I figured it out.
See those washers on the bolts? They don't go on the bolts, they go between the caliper bracket and the hub assembly and you slot the bolt through them.
Hope your problem is the same as mine. Good luck!

No, there aren't supposed to be washers there. That is a compensation for something else being wrong. In a stock setup, the bracket bolts directly onto the knuckle. I don't think there are even washers under the bolt heads. Most likely a previous owner used the wrong parts somewhere.

Did you ever figure out what it really was and end up removing the washers? I am having the same issue with a CRV. We actually just tried the washers and it fixed the issue, before I read this thread… I was like “wow, is this the same vehicle?” lol
