Default Brake problems 97 hatch w 96 ITR Brakes

I've got a 96 JDM ITR brake setup on my 97 hatch.

The passenger rear caliper was frozen, and had to be replaced. Now, no matter how much i adjust the e-brake cables, it never locks that brake. I've had a softer pedal since I swapped to them because I kept the 13/16th MC on the car. Could this be a result of not getting it bled all the way?

Also, what could cause slight brake squeal under very light brake pedal pressure?

did you try bleeding all the calipers on by one starting with the one furthest away from the master cylinder. you might have to get a bigger master cylinder and a porportioning valve too...

try bleeding out the brakes again. if you have access to one, get the one that uses compressed air to suck out the bubbles, works great!

how are the rear calipers? seized? are the metal 'springs' ok on the rear calipers (the thin metal tabs that tension the pads a bit, hope that makes sense)?

i've run the stock 13/16 MC on my 5-lug and spoon calipers without any problems for a few months, so i don't think the MC is your problem.

Sorry, to clarify:

I've had this 4 lug ITR setup for like 5 years now. Recently the rear passenger side caliper froze and had to be replaced. I bought a replacement unit from the local AutoZone. It is a Nissin caliper. This new unit has not held the e-brake on that side at all, no matter how much I pull the spring that allows the other side to lock it down. If I depress the brake pedal, it does lock the wheel up.

It looks like I need to try and re-bleed this weekend. I've got a new radio to put in the POS as well.

Could the light pressure squeal be caused by lack of brake grease?
