Default brake problems

so what happended was we serviced my front brakes on my EG HB.. basically.. lightly sanded the pads.. lubed the sliders.. applied anti-seize.. and after we put it back on my car (discovering i only have 10-20% of my brakes left) after maybe 10km's of driving.. i started to hear this loud sound coming from my front driver side brake when ever i would apply the brake.. it sounded really loud as if something was knocking around in there.. like maybe a loose pad or what not.. ne idea what could be wrong?

notes: steering wheel does NOT shake or vibrate when i apply the brake..
sound does not happen when i drive the car in the morning.. but its as if only after the brakes get warmed up..

one of my buddy's coworkers (at a dealership) thinks it might be b/c my rotors might be kinda warped and since the pads arent in the original 'seat' it could be causing this.. his suggestion is to machine the rotor.. (but im plannin on gettin hawk hps pads and power slot rotors anyways)

does neone have ne input on this? sorry if i dont provide enough information, im watching the hockey game at the same time.. GO CANUCKS!

is it a squealing noise?? if it is that's the metal warning clip telling you that your brakes need replacing

no its not.. theres still enuff meat left on the brakes so that the indicator wont scratch..
its more of a louder, not as highpitched.. as if something is shaking around in the brakes..

i suggest you take them out and do a visual.

midly sanded the old ones..
we put back the olds ones b/c we didnt know they needed replacing until we pulled them out.. and at that point.. we didnt have new ones to replace it with readily at hand (i will be picking them up on monday)..

we did take everything apart and the pads are still okay.. and all the bolts were tightend.. but we still dont know where the clunking sound is coming from! its super annoying.. =\

Are you sure it's your brakes? Maybe the wheel bearing? Try tugging on the wheel at the 12 and 3 o'clock position.

I also wouldn't get the Powerslot rotors if you're going with a more agressive pad. It's cheaper and jsut as good to get OE spec blanks.
