the brake booster is the large, round black disc that is attached to the brake master cylinder. the brake master cylinder is the mechanism that you see to check the brake fluid. if there are signs of leaking brake fluid, then you should replace the brake master cylinder. if there are no signs of liquid, the turn your car on and let it idle for a minute. push the brake pedal down a couple times and if your idle goes up a few hundred rpms, then your brake booster is fine and DOES NOT need to be replaced. if your brake pedal goes all the way down to the ground without any resistance and stays there, then your master cylinder is bad. if you push the brake pedal and it goes down with little resistance BUT COMES BACK UP, then it is your brake power booster. (Im pretty sure about this, but could be mixed up)
hope this helps...by the way, the shaking you feel when you hit the brakes is caused by warped rotors. shaking like that can only be caused by warped rotors when braking.
if you check all these things, there may be another problem. perhaps your brake pads are so worn down that they hardly have any bite left in them and your rotors are ****. i would suggest checking these things, replace the brake pads, and re-surface the rotors. come back to this post if you have any questions or problems and let us know what happened....

that sounds like bearing grease, like one of you bearing covers broke and leaked. unless the grease is actually on your rotor, it isnt the cause of the problem.

you can get a kit for like 20 bucks and do it all yourself, unless you dont have any familiarity with working on hondas. it sounds like you might have to get it done for you so it might be a little more for labor.

Re: brake problem............... (hnz28sjz)
CV Joint Grease on rotors will cause poor braking, vibration could be a warped disc. I dunno if a split boot will cause vibration.
After CV has been done spray Brake cleaner on the pads to see if the grease will come out, if not then you will need to replace them.
