Brake pads wich one?
I wil be road racing my ek in september, the car is pretty much all set except for the brake pads. Now I def dont wanna go with some pads that will not peform well. I was thinking about going with some hawk street pads, but I hear that they can catch on fire after a session. I got type r brakes on my car, power slot rotors all around and earls brake llines. Wich pads should I go with? I realize I might get some noise with some pads, but I dont care as long as they can get the job done. Any info or experience's will be helpful.

you won't be racing, the proper terminology is "tracking."
my brake pad selection (for you) would depend on your motor... if it's the stock motor you really won't be seeing very high speeds, go with axxis ultimates, carbotech bobcats, or hawk hp+. if you have a swap you may want to look at hawk blues or carbotech xp8s or 9s.

Re: Brake pads wich one? (crisparra)
Check ebay after you found what you want. I got AEM pads (made by Nissin) for 50$ for my 96 Civic. They work wonderful, stay cool, reduce brake dust, no overheating. I've enjoyed em, work much better than stock, grip nicely.

The hawk HP are not bad but if you dont want to deal with mAd dUsT yOO they are not you best choice.
After washing my car and cleaning the rims they are black and dusty within an hour of driving...
CW + Hawk HP =
