Nissin ceramic-Kevlar pads are good for street use, low dust/noise and they work pretty well. AEM sells them:

I used those for a while and liked them.

Do you still have rear drums? upgrading rear disc and some braided line's and some good rotors will help you stop alot better, tires also play into a factory when thinking about hard braking. You can only brake so hard till your tires brake loose....

Hawp pads have been really good and are well on the pocket to, thats what iam running right now. They are quiet as can be.Mine stop on a dime, but thats cause i have upgraded all my braking system.

Only thing is they put out some brake dust, no biggy tho.

I'd go for the EBC Red Stuff if you're really concerned with dust http://www.ebcbrakes.com/redstuffinfo.html

But, the Yellow Stuff brake pads have the highest ratings and performace of streetable pads (made by EBC), as well as a track rating. http://www.ebcbrakes.com/yellowstuffinfo.html

Unless you're rolling on stock brakes, then you can pick up EBC OE Replacements from autozone/discount/pep boys/etc. http://www.ebcbrakes.com/ultimaxinfo.html
