Brake light (tailight)
Hi guys. I have a 99 Civic Sedan. The brakelight (taillight) in the drivers side is burned out and the center brake like (mounted brake light on the back window) is burned out. How do I remove the bulb from the socket? Do I twist it and pull it out of the socket? How do I remove the bulb without braking anything.

Re: Brake light (tailight)
i gotta do it.. normally i dotn and can hold back but i have to ask.
you have 250 posts but you dont know how to slide a plastic cover off to remove a light bulb?
phew!! i said it. sorry about that.
ok...im not 100 percent sure on your "exact" set-up but it is generally the same.
open trunk
pop the interior panel off to see the bulbs
you turn teh actual harness socket to the left 1/8 of a turn.
rememeber.. lefty lucy, righty tighty!!!
the when you are looking at the bulb...you will have to push down the bulb and turn 1/8 to the left again.
reinstall exactly the same way but this time turn righty-tighty.
as for your 3rd brake lght out...
there are two side clips. push the middle circle inward.
pull the outer circle out completly.
then when you see the bulb just pull the bulb out.
now those clips you just pulled.. the middle circle portion has to be "resetted" so to say.
in order to do this just push the middle circle back to the orignal setting of being flush.
push again where the middle circle is now past the outer circle.
now just put your 3rd brake light cover back on and push the clips back in.
