Icon3 Window Problems in the EM1

Hi honda tech, havnt been on in awhile..............

but im running into a problem with the 99 honda civic si, the Pass side window wont go up or down....

how do i fix it? and if you give me answers give me very detailed answers, its something ive never done before ((electric and what not))

things i have done...... hooked the window motor to the battery to check to see if it works and it does. thats how i got it back up..... checked the fuses under the dash and under the hood. none are blown, but replaced with +5 more amps just to make sure.

what are next steps to solve..... again as stated above give me detailed instructions........ i want to do this on my own, but if i cant get the answers its going to a tint shop here in town to have them do it.

thanks

Double check whether fuse 10 under the dash is blown. Otherwise, one possible cause is a bad driver's or passenger's window switch.

Next would be the window motor inside the door

Is the main switch on the driver's door turned off?

Otherwise, you need to check the wires. Do you have a multimeter?

For instructions, post a clear picture of your multimeter. The first step is to check for voltage at terminals in the master and passenger window switch connectors.

The test light is fine for only the most basic voltage tests, and you can't use it to check continuity. Seriously, the multimeter is not much more difficult to use and is a much more powerful tool. Don't be afraid to learn something new.

With the key in ON(II), check for voltage at terminal A6 of the main switch connector (wire harness) and terminal 1 of the passenger switch connector (wire harness). Use metal frame under the dash as ground for these tests.
