brake light
Whats up guys ive been having this problem on and off, my brake light on the cluster always stays on, its not the parking brake switch, u can tell when i engage the e-brake it gets brighter and when i release it it dims but stays on, ive had this stay like that for about a week then it turned off by it self for about a month and now its back.. it went away for like one part when i turned it on then i reached my destination and had turn the car to leave it came back again i checked my fluid it all looks ok checked for some what of a leak and nothing that i can see lmk ur opinion thanks

idk if its a short why would it disappear for a good min then it will come back and stay on for a while some times its off for a long period of time then some how it will come back

A dim red "brake" light (dim considering it gets brighter with the ebrake) sounds like a bad fluid level switch if your brake fluid is full like you said

If the wire is stripped and shorting, it might be moving around, making contact, then losing contact with whatever it's shorting on. Wires move. It happens. That's one of the main reasons electrical problems are so hard to diagnose.

^ This man speaks the truth. The symptoms you are seeing are like textbook wiring short. A "short" doesn't mean "split wire" necessarily ... sometimes it's just a "bad connection". When a connection is bad .. sometimes it's good, sometimes not... very unpredictable.
