Default BRAKE HELP!!!

ok i bought my 2000 si with some AEM big brakes and im gettin rid of them for some stockers b/c the aem's wont let me put 15's on..so does anyone know if i need a stock reloacator bracket or can i just take off the AEM one and be done..and could anyone please post a pic of the bracket so i'll know what to not take off and what to take off..

yes you need a stock bracket if your changing the whole thing

Your car is a EM1 I take it? Im not sure, but I THINK the AEM brake kit uses the stock CALIPER. So what you want is the OEM caliper mounting bracket, the part with the hangar that goes across, it bolts to the knuckle, holds the brake pads, and the caliper is attached to it, that what your refering to?


This part? the stock caliper bracket (close enough).

well i was told the aem relocator bracket can be took off and u can just bolt it back up b/c u dont have to remove the stocker when replacin it....this is so damn confusin...i think the relocation bracket is on the back of the brakes..im just switchin out the rotors but i gotta get the relocator bracket off and i have no idea what it is or what it looks like

the calipers are stock Si calipers..

ok, do you have a pic of your AEM big brakes? Is there just the one kit? if its the same kit that they have for any old Civic, i can check the website and tell ya what ya need.

it was just the rotor and relocator bracket

i think the relocator bracket is on the back of the rotor

the relocator bracket is bolted to the steering knuckle, and looks like your stock caliper mounts were used. According to what I read, its JUST the bigger rotor and relocator (bracket spacer.) So you can take off the bracket adapter thing, bolt on some OEM blank rotors and call it a day.

just a rotor?? no bolts?? i got all new rotors..what about the rear

i think theres a relocator bracket in the rear too i assume...i'll post pics later when i take the wheels off and get started on it
