brake conversion question
I have a 93 civic and recently put front and rear gsr integra brake spendles on my car. My first question is will the gsr master cylender, brake booster, and 4040 proportional be needed. Second question is if they arn't needed do they help out any and if they do what do they do better(my step dad says that the bigger brake booster cylender and master cylender won't make a difference. Thanks for the help.

Re: brake conversion question (scoobyghost)
the prop valve is pretty important...
the larger master/booster WILL help out... delivers more power with the same or less effort...
non of it is "needed"... it'll function ok w/o but it'll be better with...
good luck

the prop valve will make the system function properly as it should. a larger MC will make it easier to brake, more fluid pressure with less braking effort.

Re: brake conversion question (akumaracer)
Thanks guys. I just finished this and was wondering if this was normal. I can push the brake all the way to the floor. It gets hard and then i can just slowly push it to the floor. I bleed everything including the master cylender. I think it brakes correctly but not too sure yet. Any advice?

Re: brake conversion question (scoobyghost)
Its like what they said, you need the GSR's bigger brake master cylinder and reservoir, you'll need the brake booster too becuase the GSR master cylinder wont fit Civic's, you'll especially need the GSR's proportioning valve. You'll probably need to do some modifications to make the brake lines lines fit correctly. Once you have everything then the car will stop with less brake pedal pressure in a shorter distance.

Re: brake conversion question (scoobyghost)
NO it's not normal... you probobly have a bad master or there is air in the lines...
I would recomend an rs master/booster combo because it will bolt straight up... and if you get the prop valve from a 93-95 that came with rear disk the prop valve should bolt right up too....
all the prop valves should bolt into place it's just a matter of if the bracket will... I had to mount my new prop/bracket to another bracket and mount that bracket to the stock location...
good luck.
