Default Brake caliper piston boot is torn

Hey I was changing my brake pads yesterday and I noticed that when I was pushing the piston back, there was a cut in the rubber boot part. Is this a major issue and what problems will it cause?

it could let parts wear a little faster as far as the piston, seals and caliper goes.

Default Re: (v4lu3s)

Is it easily replacable or would I have to replace the entire caliper?

the boot can be repalced alone. it basically is ther to keep dirt from getting in between the piston and caliper.
