will the ecu from a 4th gen si work with my d15b7motor?since they both do not have vtec it should be ok right?

4G Si ecu is non-OBD and you have OBD-I harness, so I would say no.

any other stock honda or acura ecu to use? mind you have no vtec.and some upgades exhaust timing fuel.just looking for that edge over other stock ecu's racers but dont want headache of piggyback ecu wiring . i had p28 in the car but of course kept throwing codes.no vtec?

I'm gonna say that swapping ecu's is not going to help you find significant gains/advantages over stock. Just reset your ecu when adding mods. Your money and effort would be better spent (if you aim to keep stock motor) on a cam or like headwork.
