Braided steel lines, permanent fix for radiator hoses?
Over time Radiator hoses get old and crack. and I know that braided lines are rubber hoses wrapped into a braided steel mesh, now since the mesh prevents the rubber from expanding, does this mean they will never crack?

No, but they hold pressure much better and will probably last longer than regular rubber ones. Your best bet would be a coated hose like various aftermarket companies produce.

If you have such a problem with radiator hoses bursting, maybe you should look for a solution to your problem further inside the cooling system. Rubber lines work for everyone else: why are you special?

I dont have a problem now, I am thinking long term. everytime I had a hoses crack on me its always at the worse time. sure there is preventative maintenace but if I can find a permanent fix why would I not explore it?

Check your hoses every 6 months, replace them when starting to show signs of failure. You should only hve to replace them every 5-10 years or something
OR:
If you are super **** and are made of money get SS hoses.
But these might actually fail too because SS is not as resistant to fatigue as rubber.

Try those. Many people swear by them and they're the alternitive I originally brought up. You don't want metal hoses - trust me.

oooOOOooo, silicone, that's sweet stuff.
my SS solid hose was a joke, to get them custom made would cost you about the price of the car if not more.

Maybe SS radiator hoses are the next hotness. TIG up some SS, stamp MUGEN on it and rock out with your Honda **** out.
Sweet. Dibs on that patent.

According to the site, they dont break down over time like rubber hoses. this is the permanent solution I need. thanks.
