bouncy idle
When at a light, the idle on my b16 goes up and down from like 1000-1300...it's kind of annoying. I'm not throwing any codes so i have no idea what it is

Re: bouncy idle (usdmEHboy)
i just got done fixing this issue.
You can check if its the icv just by unpluging it after warm up. If your car idles right, it is going bad or just needs to be cleaned. mine went bad so i just bypassed it. I tired to clean it, but it didnt help.
to clean just remove it and spray some break cleaner in there till it stops coming out black. typicaly its the side with the screen thats the issue, but do both.
Iat can do it to, but typicaly not the issue. Other problems can be you timing, valve lash, and your idle screw could be to high.

yeah thats the reason i ask..cause it did the same thing to me..p30 ecu didnt make my car idel or run smooth..i switched to chipped p28 ecu and it is been perfect since the day i switched a chipped p28

Re: bouncy idle (usdmEHboy)
It's almost directly behind it. There's a picture on here somewhere, I don't remember where.
It's the thing on the back of the intake manifold, sorry I can't be more descriptive.
