bought a new oilpan with gasket. replace the gasket?
stripped my oilpan. bought a new oilpan that came with the gasket in it. but should i get a new one? or should i keep the one in there and just use RTV (room temperature vulcanization silicone) sealant and put her on there? aluminum pan.
for what it matters, stock d16y8 in a 1996 civic ex coupe

Replace the seal, while your there.
It's going to really anyonying if you have to drop the pan again in 2 weeks becuase it's leaking.

if its a brand new gasket use it if not just buy a new one. save yourelf the headache if the old one decides to leak

if it was some what new, I would say no, go ahead and re-use it. More then likely, it's the orginal.
$27 isn't that bad. If you can wait for it, look at majestichonda, or hondapartsunlimited.com.

well it was $15 so i was like "woohoo! saving $12" then it was $12.10 for shipping haha. but thanks anyways!
