pick up my white 2000 hatch yesterday & had an accident today - slid off a icy snowy road, I was headed directly for another car that had skided & rolled over off the road - so i pulled the ebrake to swing the car inbetween an upside down toyota previa & a telephone pole...I did a 180 and skidded into the same ditch as the minivan - missing it by feet. my car finally came to a stop in the ditch on its side . I crawled out the passenger door. I look at the car and con only see that i busted up my front bumber (cracked - but not too bad).I was really worried about the drivers side that was in the ditch. got the car out & the side that was laying in mud & snow...had NO damage - no scratches NOTHING..thank god it could have been worse. so i am looking to get a new/used bumper (and an alignment) if anyone has some suggestions as to where I could get a good deal on a new or used bumper (white - nh-578-4)I would greatly appreciate it (i already checked & posted in the classifieds )

thanks for all your concern my car was pretty much on its side (like half rolled over) which is why I can't believe the side of my car isn't banged up - its like a mini-miracle thanks to the snow bank & a lotta mud...the lady in the minivan could not believe I didn't hit her or the pole...when i got out she was like you just missed the same telephone (she had just missed) pole buy about 5 feet. I didn't even see that, I just saw that i was in her tracks in the snow & headed right for her...scary tho, it definitely got my blood flowin' I just dropped her off at a local service shop to see what I did to the rear suspension (driver's side rear swung into the ditch pretty hard), it shakes at 50mph, hopefully i need just alignment or a new rim...we'll see in a few hours

can't say for sure...I was to busy looking at the minivan I was headed for... my guess would be around 35mph when i started to slide prolly & around 20-25 at time of impact - EDIT: the posted speed limit was 55. the speeds I was travelling at are really just guesses (they could have been much slower in reality) I know what you are talking about - there was NO stopping my car...um well, except for the ditch

damn.....that's pretty slippery .......i almost got into an accident similar to yours this year with that big snowstorm.....i was maybe going at like 5 downhill.....didnt even slam on the brake, the car just slid sideways.......lucky the van beside me was a carlength behind when i did a 180
