Both windows broken EM1
my drivers side window will go up and down but with some pushing and it wont go up all the way.
passenger side window is completely jammed.. wont go up or down and its stuck about halfway down. Just randomly jammed while i was driving and i pushed it a little bit up and down by hand but now its just jammed completely.
I have the HAYNES manual but Im wondering if I can actually fix it myself or if Im gonna have to take it into a shop.
Any experience with these damn windows would help. I hope i can just take the door panels off and put the windows back into their grooves or wat not...

sounds like its just getting off the track, a pretty easy fix, and yes you will have to pop the door panels off to get to it, but once youve done it a few times its very easy. ill see if i can dig up a how-to for you

they make special plastic tools specifically for door panels, but i just used a big flat screwdriver to pry them off

Re: Both windows broken EM1 (slowater427)
well, just finished fixin both windows...
if anyone needs a DIY on this just lemme know
gettin the windows bak into the grooves wasnt that hard but that damn door panel is somewhat of a bitch to get back on correctly so the lock and handle line up.
anyways...
now the damn rainy weather in Norcal wont rain into my car at least.

well being able to access that particular part may be the hardest part.
but as for gettin the door panel off and on correctly-- it just takes patience and a lot of swearing.
