Default Bored block, oversized pistons and a company I have never heard of....

after running an LS/VTEC with a 12:1 cr (CTR's pistons) into the ground becasue of the lean conditions. I recently purchased another LS block (cracked the previous blocks, cylinder wall). I had the block bored to 81.5mm, had the block decked, honed and hot tanked. With the 81.5 mm cylinders i couldn't use honda pistons. I was in the process ordering some JE/SRP LS VTEC pistons when the machinist suggested some "oem quality" pistons from a company called "TOP LINE". I ordered their US ITR replicas and sure enough their exactly the same pistons ( I compared the honda made ones ot them) they have the webbings the p73 stamping, the a00 numbers etc. their coated to reduce the friction..so moral of the story is TOP LINE auto has some nice replica pistons for those of us who like the OEM honda parts.....

more on the motor later

Cool beans.

I've never heard of Top Line either. Let us know how it works out.
