sorry i must clarify use a p28 and hondata s200 that way you can turn your vtec on or off in case you decide you want vtec later you can get the ecus for around the same price and your going to have to tune your car before you run hard with it anyways.

get a compression test on the motor

absolutly! 12 lb is very common on an LS and its prety safe.. just make sure you get the car tuned or your investment will not last you

but honestly, i wouldnt go over 10psi as a daily driver
you never know
even at 10psi your going to be making 240-250whp if its tuned properly
i also dont see why not go to with an s300 hondata i believe as of now they discontinued the s200

i'm looking to boost my ls too... even though i have a 1st gen pr3 b16a at my disposal i think it will be more reliable and easier to tune staying non vtec... can any self tuners verify this statement

ive always felt vtec and turbo really dont mix i ran a b20 with a drag3 kit at 9 lb and the motor is still running hard after 30K or so of abuse where i got friends that run vtec and havent had so much luck. but on the flip side of the spaectrum, look at the cft civic. so im sure its how you tune it and how much power you try to squeeze out of the motor.
