what tiz up ht
i just finished turbo'ing my d16y7 and now im getting a erratic but pattern like idle.
the car will fire rite up and idle at 700...then build to 2700...then back down to 700 etc. etc.
i swapped my d16y7 manifold to the y8 99-00 auto version (my car isnt auto)
i have plugged off the port for the pcv valve...for catch can and stuff
any idea? iacv, tune, i can post pics of the manifold and a video of idle if necessary
thanks

Re: .:boosted d16:..: erratic idle:.
well i traced the source of the issue and i cant believe i didn't think of it. when i did the turbo installation part of the set up on my 97 d16y7 engine was a 99y8 intake manifold swap. I used the y7 throttle body and the iacv is built on to the y7 throttle body and is allowing too much air to pass through. i now have a gsr tb and my idle is now somewhat efficient. i now need to convert to a 2-wire iacv. i have one but the auto y8 doesnt have the ports for it to mount on the back of the intake manifold. idk if anybody has decided to go through the hassle of making this work but i cant figure how im going to make the iacv work on this manifold without drilling and tapping into it. but im not sure where to tap in. a little direction would be appreciated.
