Boost Questions
I am running a stock D16y7, and I am about to turbo it. I am wanting to run around 8psi, is this safe to do with stock injectors, or should I upgrade to the slightly larger H22 injectors? Also is it safe to run without tuning it? Or should I tune it? And to tune it will I need to OBDI convert it or can you tune the OBDII?

Re: Boost Questions
Another quick question: I have a body kit of my civic, and my bumper support didn't work with the bumper, it was too tall to fit in the bumper so I had to remove it, how can I attach the front mount IC?

Re: Boost Questions
i actually dont know how to convert to obd1 with an obd2 motor.. ima stick around and see if someone answers ur question...
but, to make it easier on yourself.. scrap the body kit, make your car look CLEAN, like you just drove it from the production line

Re: Boost Questions
eh, I like the looks of it. Yeah I am one of those people. I have thought about going back to stock look, but can't do it, too much money wrapped up in it. When I do my next car though, deff clean it up and lip kit it.
But I may need to run a piggyback? I can ask the shop owner I buy all my stuff from if I don't get an answer and will let you know what he says.
But yes flame away if needed about my body kit likings. It's a drifter front, not very showy imo

Re: Boost Questions
Y7 injectors can barely hold up to a mini me swap. Just get some y8 or b series injectors they can be had for cheap.
Remember
y7=190cc
Y8=240cc (b18a/b, b16, and b18c also)

and piggybacking isnt too good of an idea.. you could do it, if you really want too

Re: Boost Questions
that appears to be so. I have been told don't push more than 8-9psi with it.
But I found out they make harnesses to convert from OBDII to ODBI and you can use a stock SI or EX(ODBI) ECU and tune it that way.

Re: Boost Questions
hmm thats what i thought.. but i wasnt too sure..
like.. i got a 96 civic, drop a z6 vtec into it.. probably need that obd2a to obd1 harness plus a p28 ecu [92-95 ex/si].. and get that **** tuned ASAP..
but in your case, switch the p28 to a p06 [92-95 dx]

Re: Boost Questions
why a p06? Why not run a p28 chipped? I am going to a junk yard(pic-a-part) and see what ECUs they have here in about 2 weeks, so I am wanting a list of what all models to look for.
The harness costs $60 from the shop I buy my stuff from if it helps you out any.
