to boost or not to boost.....
well first off....i've got 97 civic dx hatchback with a 96 GSR motor and 99 ITR tranny so far it has a skunk2 mani, TL throttle body, skunk2 stageII cams, jun flywheel, clutchmasters fx100 clutch, walbro255 fuel pump, b&m fuel pressure regulator, and jun chipped p28 ecu.....(i also have an intake and dc 4-2-1 header but that's besides the point)
and my friend has a b-series turbo kit he wants to sell me cheap it's got a spearco front mount intercooler, vortec FMU, all the charge pipes, blow off vavle, etc.
should i do it?

Yeh go with the boost, i wish i could afford one . But if he is giving you a good deal then i would take it. You may need to buy some other components like new injectors (depending on the amount of boost your running) and micelaneous other things. But yeh go boost a good way to get more hp and tq. and that blow off valve sound is to die for

Boost it.
I got a 97 Coupe with Turbo GSR motor, low 13's on stock honda tires all day!!! Full interior, everything.
The turbo spooling and the BOV sound are tight work, not to mention the extra 100 or so horses the tubo kit will make.
Do your research first on all the rest of the parts you will need, cause there are many, lots of small **** you don't think about.
And the most important part of a turbo setup is your engine management, get shitty engine management and you'll always have problems and a setup that doesn't make as much power as you think it should. Spend the extra dollars up front for GOOD ENGINE MANAGEMENT, its not cheaps so save your pennies!!!

Get it but ditch the FMU. Get some decent aftermarket injectors or even some Stock WRX injectors. Stock wrx injectors go for around 60 bucks slightly used. Get a VAFC so that way you can get some mild tuning done. dynotune it and call it a day.
