Do a compression check and if the engine is in good shape and you take care of it I don't think it would be too bad. Just make sure its tuned correctly with your setup of choice and you don't boost too high. Good luck.

Don't boost... Save that money and put it towards the LS-Vtech... Or just kinda look around for a good GSR swap around the same price... I've seen some GSR swaps with under 100k go for around the same price as LS/V-tecs but then again... i'm a GSR guy so I guess my opinion is biased

Re: (MDM)
if this is gonna be ur daily driven car and ur not tryin to be the fastest u can den do lsvtec or gsr... but if u want speed i say sell the lsvtec and use it to build ur D series and den throw the turbo on it and get a good tune. but be prepared for a lot of downtime if u decide turbo.. but i gurantee u one thing. once u go turbo u wnt wanna go back lol i didnt

Re: Boost or not? (96teggylsse)
yea thats the thing i heard its not recommended to use ctr's since i am going to be boosting in the feature and i dont wanna change pistons later on.. i might use a b16 head so i was also thinking b16 pistons and b16 tranny! so what do you all think..b16??

Re: Boost or not? (MDM)
just buy a bare block and build it I may consider selling my setup, I have a bare b18c5 block with oil pump main caps and girdle, and brand new wiseco pistons and eagle rods for 81.5 mm bore and a polished ls crank
