Default Boost on my Civic

I've got a jackson supercharger on my 92 civic si. My friend was driving it and I was watching the boost gauge. It seemed that the PSI dropped in the middle of acceleration from about 8 PSI to 0. Can anyone explain this?

u might want to check where your getting your boost pressure from. not sure how there hooked up but if its vaccum operated u could have a leak

The gauge just dropped but the boost didn't feel like it let up. Didn't feel like a lag in the car/motor.
