Default Boost or bore D-series???

I have a 2000 hatch with a just over stock D16. I dont want to do a swap. Is there any way I can bore it out and use bigger pistons or should i forget that and go forced ind. Also, can I put in a bigger cam? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Turbo the D. There's no other way to enjoy your honda. With a rather small amout of money I've been able to keep up with most rx-7's and destroy mustang GT's. And the sound of the BOV (preferably Greddy Type S) makes it all worth it.

boughten isnt a word.

bore it out and get dope pistons & rods and put the SOHC vtec head on it when re-installing the block and throw a can in that head. then save money for a while and buy a turbo kit and then you have a fast built SOHC runnin all the boost you want.

vtec head, boost, bore is up to you. you can run about 10lbs on stock internals w/good tuning.

what pistons and camwhould be the best bet . How much would it have to be bored out and should i do anything else to the engine, ecu, fuel system. The engine just rolled 100,000 kms 2 weeks ago.

Definitely a clutch upgrade and as far as the flywheel issue, don't get a REALLY lightweight one. An 8.5-9 pound one will do. But either way, make sure it is good quality or else it will get shredded (if you plan on running a lot of boost). Everything else is up to you. The cam and piston combo will best be decided by how wild you plan on going with the turbo. Boring the block...whatever.... that's totally up to you as well. If you go the easy way and get a turbo kit, it should come with an FMU and somewhat upgraded fuel system as well. Good luck.

In that context, neither is "dope." And please don't use that again. I'm surpised you didn't get flamed for that yet.

As for what you should do extremecivic, if you can afford it, bore and boost it. If not, boost it. That is my plan.
