Ok, so I'm a bonehead. I was installing a Nav system in my wife's '97 civic EX/auto transmission; simple, just needed ground, power, accessory. The snake pit an alarm installer left behind made it impossible to tap wires - but I saw 2 fused lines going into the alarm, one was hot, so I tapped it for power and and the other for accessory. When it didn't work I ran a line from my power tap to my accessory tap and the unit started up; eventually figured out the problem and found true accessory power, everything worked. Buttoned up the dash, no power at all, and the alarm was toast. No idea what I did.

Long story short, I blew the 40amp fuse in the engine compartment fuse box. yanking the alarm (mostly just connected to a removable harness) and replacing the fuse got the car up and running. Worked fine in a test drive, but later found out that after the engine is warmed up, pulling up to a stop the engine barely runs at about 200rpm, sometimes stalls. When coming up to a light the car doesn't want to stop, almost like the auto transmission isn't disengaging.

Pulled the ECU reset fuse, no luck. Pulled the battery cable for 15 minutes, no change. Thought about trying to pull codes, figured I'd done enough damage: Took it to the dealer, they couldn't find any codes, and their fix was to adjust the idle. Runs better now, doesn't quite seem like it is going to stall or as hard to stop, but it still doesn't seem quite right. Anyone with a good overview of civic electric want to take stab at giving me some things to check out?
