You need to put the question in the title! You will get so much more help that way.

1.6 non v from what car? D16y7?

If so, yes, it will fit, but may require a little work to get it perfect.

will drop in, you might have an issue with motor mounts, and definitely gonna have to changed the motor to odb1 or use the odb2 harness

Icon6 Will a D16 angine fit a D15 tranny?

I have a 1994 Civic DX with a knocking rod in which I would like to swap out for a 1.6 liter non vtec engine. Here's my dilemma... I have no idea if this swap will work. What can I do to make this swap work (besides buying a new tranny to fit the engine)?

as said many times, D series engines work with any d series trannies, B series with B series, H/F series with H/F series and Ks with Ks.

In short, yes the D15 tranny should bolt up to the D16

FAQ or Frequently Asked Questions, On HT is a list that practically covers any and everything you'd ever want to know or try with your civic, and i mean ANYTHING. Ps. i said should because something can always go wrong or your tranny could have some unforseen damage of some sort. (Never know, Hypothetical)

I think it depends on if it's an auto or a stick...less wiring with sticks, dontcha know ^^
Plus I think the plugs for the wires are probably a different shape too...

well is the motor from the same year car or not? if its a obd1 d16 with a ob1 car the wiring shouldnt be much different. But you didnt specify where the d16 came from.

You will use your stock harness but depending on what year car vs. engine as well as what d16 will depend on if you have to change any of the wiring

The transmission does not decide if you change the harness, unless it's a auto. If it is, your going to have alot more then that to worry about.

Is the car a auto?

This is why you need to include this info in the first damn post.
