Bogging... still... is it my TPS?

Bogging... still... is it my TPS?
Ok.. so I replaced my o2 sensors a few weeks ago, checked the cat and it's not plugged so now i'm baffled and pretty sure it's the TPS... here's why... car's a 1996 civic ex with a d16y in it.
the problem is intermittent, not consistant, goes on and off.. sometimes is around for days, othertimes does not appear for days...
it'll be sluggish till about 3000rpm OR if I press the pedal harder which will cause it to upshift, and thus regain the lost power, so that's why I think it's the TPS.
Anyone else have a problem similar to mine so I don't look stupid if I buy a new one and it turns out not to fix it?
