i'm pretty sure that the front end parts will not fit... if you had a 99-00 hatch i'm pretty sure they would bolt right up but the 96-98 civic has a different front end and requires a conversion if you want a 99-00 front end.

Re: bodyparts question (nothing crazy)
my bad dude i own a EF so i know little about the 1999-2000Si's and ek9's, my buddy just wants to just get new OEM kit for his 1998 civic dx i told him if it would fit with little to no mods to go for the 99'-00' Si and not to go for the ek9 due to it most likely having doing a conversion, so i guess the ek9 is out of the question now but what about the 99'-00' Si bumpers would those work just fine or would there be little bit of mods to do on that as well??? and thanks Jason v2 for the info and links the pics didn't work for me on those links though but thats not a big deal

99-00 Si front-end parts are basically the same as an EK9.
If your friend with the 98 hatch wants the front end of a 99-00 model Civic, he will need to replace the hood, fenders, headlights, bumper, and grill, since the 96-98 front end differs from the 99-00.
