Default body work

I curious how much a shop would charge to do body work on a civic hatch back. I bought a 93 hatch from a guy.

He put 99 accord head light converion on it. To do that you have to trim the hood, fenders, and front bumper. He didnt do that bad of a job and had the whole car painted afterwards. He also put front and rear CTR lips on it. The front lip has a crack in it. I want to take it to a shop and have it all molded and the front lip fixed. Is this possible or is it just cheaper to change everything back to oem. Get new hood, fenders, front bumper and type r lip and stock headlights.

BLAH!! IF YOU OWN A HONDA YOUR CAR IS RICE TOO!!! I hate that ****** term. You obviously don't have a clue how much work it is to do body work like that. Especially if it looks good. I would leave what you got bro. If you hate the color you can re-paint the ******. Just leave that ****. Most likely there was some modifications done to the unit-body so those mods would have to be undone, then the parts; hood, fenders, headlights, front bumper etc. I would figure is at least $500 even from a bone-yard used. Then figure in ~$75/hour for labor. If you don't like it or something sell the car and buy a new one. This is all IMO! Nice ride BTW I'm doing an S2000 tail-light conversion on my EG (coupe).

Just because you dont like it doesnt mean he has to change it etc.... why doesnt he buy an S2k? Probably because he cant afford it.

Why did you paint your valve cover red? You should have just went out and bought a OEM Honda Type R valve cover.

Its the same idea, you did it because you liked it.... not because others do.

If he wants S2k tails let him do it... I dont like the idea, but if its making him smile why rain on his parade??

Well my whole car will be CF as well so I think it will look pimp, and your right, I can't afford a S2... yet. But when I can I will just save up for another one, then a third one and buy an NSX! BTW I painted my valve cover but it looks dope. I did the red thing, then faded black up the verticle portions, then made a rather large R on it in black to the point that connects to the other black. Some people said "It looks cool, but why did you do the black camo style?" I will post a pic in the thread soon. Need a host for online images. Anyone got a server? I'll email you the pic and you can post it. Happy tuning!!

BTW once I create a complete shell out of CF I will market it, so HT boys that are cool will get a discount! But this will take some time and alot of money first.

Seriously shut the **** up!

I personally seen this done. And when its done right it looks so ******* beautiful, although if not done right i could look like ****, so be careful.

Honesly if you brought your car to me (as i use to do body work) i would probably charge 500 in labor for what you ask without better pics. And thats just to do the lips and mold them. Thats it. No paint, no prep for paint. But dont forget..... you get what you pay for.

The car looks good as is. Get us better pics

I think thats a clean conversion... I would just get a new lip and screw getting anything molded.. Unless you mold the lip to the front bumper.. that might look alright
