Default body kit help !

I bought some stuff from the swap meat.. don't ask they have good stuff for cheap.

I wanted to do a 99-00 front end conversion so I bought a hood, bumper, and headlights, all 99-00. I was pretty sure I had to buy fenders, but the guy said he didn't think so, so I just waited to see. So, now I know that I have to buy fenders, but that isn't the problem. The front bumper is a r34 skyline and the grill part of the bumper doesn't line up with the hood. The grill part is way too long and the hood doesn't come close to lining up. Should I take back the bumper and try to get one without the grille? I have already bought all this stuff and don't really want to hack up my kit too much with bondo and stuff. Thanks, if pics are needed I'll take some with my phone, just let me know.

I am not sure which piece is at fault, I'll take pics and you guys let me know if its either the bumper or the hood. thanks

matt

HAHAHAHAHA !!!!! They swapped meat!
j/k

Your gonna get flamed on here , but you shoulda just bought the bumper for your year car. And is this one of those you see in adds for a whole kit that's only like $300? If it is , they fit like @$$ anyways.

the front bumper might be for a 96-98.. unless its a stock oem bumper it hard to tell what year it is.. try to put it on your stock set up.. it might fit..

Here's the pics, I know the kit don't look too good but it's just the edges that are messed up. The hood is handmade with 6 layers of plexiglass, the bumper is probably swap meat quality, but don't have very much money and ill bondo up the edges and stuff.

oh yeah, i have the hood and bumper lined up perfectly in the center, so you can see that where the notches are in the hood, don't line up with the bumper.

thanks in advance

Already measured it, the hood is too wide by about an inch or so, give or take.

most body kits are cheaply made, and most of us have gone thru the bodykit stage. You have to just make it work and do some extra fabrication, it sucks but if done right can make some cars look OK. Since you got it from a SWAP meet, you gotta work with what you got. Plus you get what you pay for in quality also.
