It doesn't what?
If you're using the bi-xenon system I know people have trouble getting the high beams to work at the same time as the lows, but I honestly have no idea what you're asking.

HID have the chance if just wiring from the old civic headlights to bmw HIDs that it will burn out you entire wiring system for the lights. It happened to a couple of friends of mine. I hope you smart about wiring.

If you wire them with relays it should be fine...
Also make sure you fuse the direct power from the relay to the Ballast box with whatever amperage is stock for the BMW headlights.

i work at bmw, ill take pictures and post how to do it when i get home, ived done it a few times.
but real quick, if its the plastic grey balast, open it up, with the three torx screws, and there should be a yellow wire, and a brown wire leading to a connector, basically yellows your positive, and browns your negative, but the brown should have a green wire connected with it aswell.

That shouldnt happen. When you wire them up make sure you up the fuse for the headlights from whatever it is now (I think 10 or 15 amp) to 20+.
If it just blinks you prolly have a bad ground. Did you even wire up a ground, or did you just wire up the power?

Re: (EeeJayEight)
if you can, check out the June 2005 issue of Honda tuning (the one with the ef hatch that says Old School Boost on the cover) it has an S2000 hid retrofit into an EG sedan, maybe that will help you some. good luck

There should be 4 wires going to your connector. high and low beam power wires, and high/low beam ground (maybe just 1 ground wire for the both of them, dont remember). There should be 2 wires you have to connect from your HIDs, one is power, one is ground..
