I is it normal for a b16a3 to burn oil when in vtec ? I see a little bit of blue out of the exhaust when I go into vtec.

whatever the price of a head job cost, depends if you pull the head yourself and take it to the machine shop ect.

dont rule out other things though. changing the PCV valve wont hurt, as it could cause the same thing, and only cost $2.

um check how much oil you ahve in there. if its tooo much, it will "boil" at high rpms and burn around the rings. sounds like too much oil or needs an oil change. i would say the Rings are bad on your cylinder walls. change the oil and only put 3.9 quarts in this time

I think you are right.. I put a bit too much oil in this time and I do need an oil change lol. I read around and people do say vtec does burn a bit of oil I have noticed that too thats why I put in some more oil (ended up being a bit too much)

You think if I change the oil it would fix this problem ?

wow, yeah, vtec engagement causes oil to burn, umm, sure that might be what people think, but its not the truth.

and being a 1/2 quart or a little more overfull isnt going to cause oil consumption either.
