Default blown motor

just got a 97 civic 4 months ago.The d series motor in it had 90 some hp.what a joke.I have been doing some research and have decided to put a H22a in to it.Alot of my research was on this site.OK I not sure if I have to change the motor mounts or will it just fit in that would be to easy.and about the axels instead of screwing around with different axles couldnt I just put a prelude front end on it.I am getting a prelude front clip.I thought it would be better to have all those parts right on hand.any help would be appreciated.thxs

i dont think that you would want to weld an entire Prelude front clip to your civic dude.

there are some other guys on here that have put H22's into their Civics. if you search you can find them and contact them for advice.

not weld it on man, change all the suspension.I been through all this before with my Toyota Celicas.I am not new to engine swaps.I am new to Hondas .I ve only had 1 for a few months, and didnt plan on having to change the motor till next year. Its parked for the winter so I have all winter to work on it.

You are going to get into a lot of mess if you try to weld the whole front clip on. All you have to do is buy motor mounts and custom axles and a custom shift linkage and it will fit in your civic using the ecu and other things you can pull out of the front clip. I just think that attaching the whole front clip is going to be very costly in time and other work you will have to do. You can get the motor mounts and axles and shift linkage off of EBAY for real cheap about $700 for all.
