blown head gasket, rebuild or swap
driving around stop and go traffic today noticed my car start idling irratically so i took a look at my other gauges noticed my temp gauge was about half way but not rising any further drove a bit further so i could pull over gauge jumped to 3/4's pulled over shut it off and popped the hood to check for leaks found none removed the radiator cap very slowly (covered with a shirt i keep under the hood) and boom it exploded spraying hot water everywhere shirt saved my face anyways filled it back up and drove it home. I wasnt far got home took off the radiator cap and its all milky and keeps bubbling, blown headgasket damn!! no water in the oil just in the radiator. anyways what do you guys suggest should i rebuild it or just swap it out for a d15b? how much would it cost me to rebuild in comparison to swapping i know i can get a d15b for $550 i just dont know how much it will be to rebuild. if i rebuild i figure ill install a new water pump, timing belt and a new clutch im gonna need one soon anyways. BTW its a 92 federal version vx completely stock (hints the name virgineg) running a p07 ecu, i do have a p28 lying around somewhere and an extra 4 wire o2 sensor i can use. i do commute quite a bit but wouldnt mind a bit more zip. if rebuilding comes close to swapping, price wise im just gonna swap it. TIA.

Re: blown head gasket, rebuild or swap
Sorry about the head gasket.
I would personally go for the D15B swap. The 3-stage VTEC is awesome and will still allow you to continue hunting for 50mpg while giving you plenty of passing power when you need it.
Good luck and keep us posted!

I guess as long as you have it apart, do the swap.
That sucks, though. And be careful with that radiator cap. I had a friend get burned pretty bad.
