boosted civic mb2 - engine in
Hi Guys.
I'm Tobias from Germany.
I drive a 1999 Honda Civic fastback.
This model was only avalable in europe and is based on the EG chassi.
It was a 1.4liter with 75hp which i swapped to a b18c4.
This is similar to the b18c1 from the integra GSR.
I think, i'm the first person in the world which will build a 550+whp civic MB2.
For us guys in germany it is not very easy to buy all the necessary turbo stuff. And it is also very expensive because i must import all the stuff from america.
Here some pics.
At last the engine puts out 212.8hp.
That was not anoth.
In this winter is started the blowing of my civic.
Here some of my parts:
- synapse ramhorn turbokit with garett gt3082r and a downpipe with closed loop
- tial 44m wastegate and 50mm blowoff
- manley turbo tuff i-beam rods and pistons
- mahle sputter bearings
- darton sleeves
- balanced OEM crank
- brian crower valves, valve springs and retainers
- some headwork
- edelbrock victor X
- skunk2 pro1+ cams and camgears
- competition clutch stage 5 and flywheel
- Mfactory gears, driveshaft, dif, 4.0 finaldrive and rebuild kit
- 2x bosch 044 inline
and so on.
The goal would be arround 550whp.
What i did in the last few days.
Some pics of my ported head.
The intercooler and some other stuff.
The wire tuck which i did.
before (passengers side)
after
drivers side
This week, i will clean all the holes.
And sorry for my bad english, i do my best .

The headlights and taillights look like an Accord's, or the headlights look sorta like a Domani. It's different alright. Bring it to America and debadge it, nobody would know what it is.

Re: blown civic mb2
I need some axels for my goal of 500+whp.
The problem is, that i habe heard DSS 5.9 have some problems with vibrations and this is not acceptable for myself.
Some ideas, what axel is the best for me?

Def puts a damper on working in the Garage unless you have a heater in there.
its not bad walking but once you start working with your hands then it gets bad haha.

Re: blown civic mb2
nice work, its a strange civic though, it looks more like an accord than a civic. Also here in the states "blown" is usually for cars with blowers/superchargers, and boosted is for turbo cars.

Re: blown civic mb2
actually When i hear blown and civic in the same sentance i think of a blown motor.. now if its Blown Mustang or Camaro then i think supercharged but i guess thats just me.
