Well I was at the mall the other day with my girl and the car was running mint before for a few days.

I went to start the car and the dash lights all come up but it wont crank, figured out the fuel pump wasnt priming, checked the wiring, its mint.

Check the fuses, the alternator solenoid valve 10amp fuse is blown, didnt think that could cause the pump not to prime so I replaced it, the car started, ran for 45 seconds and then stalled out. Fuse blew again

I replaced it with a 15amp fuse and the car started ran fine all the way home (25min drive)

I then swapped trannies in this car

Now my car can be jumped and started and runs strong. But my battery is not recharging, this is a brand new battery aswell, like 2 weeks old, big sucker (1050 cranking amps)

So WTF is going on with my car

Cant you pull the battery terminal (which one) when the car is running and if it stays running your alt is mint?

I can start the car (using jumperbox) and pull the negative terminal and itll run fine byitself with no battery

Could it have of been my tranny ground? I put in a new trans so I painted it black, but I forgot to put on the clutch cable bracket so I painted that black aswell (so I have to painted surfaces right where my battery ground goes) so I cleaned up the 2 faces where they touch eachother

Car seems to run now, I'll turn it off in 10 min and try and fire it up again
