Blower Motor question

Default Blower Motor question

When i turn my heater or my air conditioner In my 2000 Civic SI i only have two different speeds.....The only speeds i have are the last two on the highest setting any idea what might be wrong

Your power MOSFET that runs the blower motor took a ****. It works the same way as a blower resistor, just with more speeds.

Is that something that i could replace? Or do you think a shop needs to do it Thanks

The power transistor is probably bad.

its the power transisotr thats bad....yes u can replace it by yourself

Yes. I would get one from a Honda dealer just to guarantee compatibility. It should be next to the blower motor itself.

i replaced the power transitor and it didnt fix it heres my next question when i unpluged the transistor it didnt do anything the blower motor still blew only on the 2 highest settings....should it even blow at all if that part is unpluged??

Not sure if the blower should work without the transistor.
