Blower Motor Lubricant? Or just dust?
I took my blower motor off because it was, and still is, making a ticking type noise when it rotates. I washed it all off because there was a lot of ths black dust type stuff all over but seemed greasy also...do i have to add any lubrucant to the motor inside b4 i hook it up again? is that what the black stuff was or was it just the dust from the magnets inside wearing out?
im putting it back in there till i can get a new one.

No, the fan motor, the blower motor is the fan motor, the one that goes by the "fan settings" of 0,1,2,3,4.

yea i meant that sorry, i didnt think of any engine parts for a blower.
ill try to pop the actual motor piece out of the center of the blower mount to see if i can see anything. if not, ill get a new one, they arent cheap tho.

no, the bearing in mine is sealed, and requires no lubrication, and it is an OEM unit. periodic inspection should be done to make sure nothing hits the turbine, if that happens it will throw it out of balance and throw little bits and pieces everywhere. I would replace it, its only like 40 bucks at autozone.
