this might be completely stupid but i must ask this question anyway. is there a difference between b series engine blocks and d series engine blocks?

Yes, they are completely different blocks.

yeah, they are completely different, and very few items are interchangeable.

i thought so but thought i'd ask. a friend of mine broke his del sol and was wondering if he could switch his d series to a b.

Well, he could swap out the entire engine, but that's a different story.

well the cam difference is in the head, he was wondering about just the block.

the block is to small for a dohc head is the point.

shweet, thanks. i have a porsche friend who can' t understand why honda would change and improve their engines. he insists you can slap a b series head on a d series block.

lol i agree, sometimes. he's handy to keep around because he knows a lot about cars and working on them, but sometimes he gets really really annoying!!
