Was told its Darton sleeved with a block guard. I have terrible eyes. From pics, looks like Honda Sleeved with a block guard. Wanted some better eyes to check it out.

Looks like stock sleeves. It may have thin wall lining sleeves. Usually you would see a slight bevel around the top of the sleeves on the thin wall lining type sleeves.

Incorrect as usual... You don't know what a stock block looks like? Check the shop I'm sure someone can show you. You can knock these sleeves all you want like you did in another thread but they are the same sleeves Dart uses in their Honda blocks which we supply them.

The stock sleeves do not touch each other between the cylinders. Those actually look like the 300 series sleeves. It hard to tell by the pick but the sleeves slightly over lap each other between the cylinders. Since the flange is a little bigger than bore center the sleeves are installed staggered, #1 and #3 first and when you cut for #2 and #4 it makes a slight relief in the flange so they touch.

They're the cheaper sleeves, not the M.I.D. sleeves that people usually talk about when they talk sleeved motors.

Now, the question for Darton is what the strength difference is between the two types of sleeves.

Hmmm. I can buy an AEBS 84mm sleeved at the highest price
Or Eagle sleeved 85mm w GSR water pump Itr oil pump with eagle rods for sAme price as AEBS
or this LS that's 81mm plus eagle rods for less than both...

I want some very definite confirmation on this being sleeved.
