well, first off, don't open the vtec, because sometimes its hard to shut. second, i agree that you are running rich, do you have the right computer? any excessive fuel mods? adjustable fpr, injectors, fuel pump???

ummm.... shouldn't your post have been, "i'm thorwing the following codes"? then someone would tell you to search, then you'd do that, and find out the codes mean (fill in the blank) , and then we wouldn't even have to address the black smoke issue?

Jesus Man.. Dont drive your car.. Its not running right and you gotta fix this before you beat on it.. you gotta be misfiring like crazy. Bad o2 Sensors COULD throw you into limp mode (also makes you run rich)
10 IAT - intake air temperature sensor
41 Primary oxygen sensor heater
54 CKF - crank fluctuation sensor
63 Secondary oxygen sensor
91 Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor low input
74 random misfire cylinder 4

Definately could be a harness issue.. also could be a ECU issue.
what ECU are you using? are you 96-98 or 99-00?

no doubt, but make sure it pops the first time you open it, that means its fresh!

turn on the car, hold your ear to the valve cover, and hold the throttle at wot and hold it there for about 5 minutes, if you hear a loud pop, its broken

Re: (JDMlyfestyle)
WOW. Why would you want to attemp to drive the car w/o even knowing what those codes were? You need to fix all the problems before you open the vtec, and break it all.
