Default Blinkers not working but hazards do

My blinkers don't work and next month I've got to get the car inspected. So I need to get this figured out. When I press on the stalk in either direction nothing happens, the relay doesn't click, the indicators on the dash don't blink. If I press the hazard button, the indicators both flash and you can clearly hear the relay clicking.

I currently have all the SRS harness removed, and I know this is what is causing my horn not to work, but from my understanding it only controls the horn, srs signal and the cruise control if you have it (which don't). Are the blinkers wired in to the SRS harness at any point?

Well, I was at the shop today, got done with the Benneville we were working on, and the Bel-Air brake job was going to cost more than the owner anticipated so we couldn't work on it so I got to pull the Civic in to take a look at it. Got my horn wired up by isolating the horn wire so I can keep the SRS harness out.

Then I went to town with the test light. Power at the fuse, power in to the plug at the stalk. Isolated the headlight wire, then the running light wire. Get to the blinker wire and the relay starts clicking away with the test light flashing. What the hell? So we know the problem is in the stalk, unplug it. The plug looks good, no corrosion. Look at the connectors... there's only two. Lean out looking in from the windshield, there's the third one, shoved in so far it's not making contact. Reached in there with a small set of angled needle nose pliers and motivated it on out. Made sure it was straight, pluged the plug back in slowly, and viola! I now have my blinkers again. Definately not something I'd have guessed but it saved me some $$ and got me ready for inspection.

Figure I'd post it up in the off chance someone has the same problem down the line somewhere.
