Blew my b16a2 :(
Hey everybody,
I just blew up my built b16a2..
[img=http://img381.imageshack.us/img381/3030/photo2dh1.th.jpg]
[img=http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/1117/photo11pb8.th.jpg]
[img=http://img133.imageshack.us/img133/1789/photo25fg6.th.jpg]
[img=http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/1475/photo27nd3.th.jpg]
[img=http://img475.imageshack.us/img475/2107/photo28md8.th.jpg]
So my question is this, I have a b18b that spun a push rod bearing that goes around the crank shaft and inside the pushrod.
And the b16a2's cranksfaft is still ok, so can i install the cranksfaft and run the b18 witht he same pistns and push rods? Or is it wrong lengths and strokes?
Please let me know if this is possible so i can get up and running for right now.
Thanks,,
Curtis

1. honda engines dont have pushrods
2. i think you're confusing pushrods with connecting rods
3. if im understanding you right, you want to put a b16 crank in a b18 block and use the b18 rods and pistons?
4. if #3 is correct, no you cannot do that

You obviously didn't build this yourself. And by, "built" what exactly do you mean? And what did you do to cause this?

Re: Blew my b16a2 :( (PreFerio)
I ment connecting rods,
I'm sorry for this. I was just talking about a chevy before this post.
I did build this engine witht he assistance of my friend.
It has eagle rods, and comp pistons. it had crower dual valve springs and crower cam gears, skunk 2 stage 2 cams.
And anyway, I think one of the valves broke an dlocked the motor up and made the pston dig into the sleeve.
So i cannot connect the b16 crankhaft to the b18b connecting rods and install it in the b18b?

</TD></TR></TABLE> No... No, you can't. Well, technically you could connect them... It really wouldn't do anything in your favor, but you can connect them.
