Bleeding Brakes
Yesterday i bled my brakes because the fluid was ridiculously dirty. However when i start the car to check the brakes. its nearly next to the floor. Imma tell u what i did so u might see what im doing wrong
1. pump brake 3 times and hold.
2. open bleeder screw
3. tightened the screw
4. Released the pedal and pump 3 times and hold and repeat until it ran clear.
i did this on each brake and yet my pedal is is not high at all
Suggestions?

Re: Bleeding Brakes (LaOstha)
That is not how to bleed brakes bro!!! It is a two person job if you don't have a speedy bleeder or a one man bleeder!! You have to suck all the old fluid out of the rez. Refuill with NEW DOT 3. Have some one press and HOLD the brake petal while you open pass. rear bleeder a crack till no more comes out. Then you tighten the bleeder. Have the person release the petal and press again and hold. Reapeat till the brake fluid you are geting out the bleeder is clear. Then do, drivers rear, pass. front, drivers front last! make sure you keep topping off the rez. you introduced air into the system and it has to be bleed out our you will die!

Re: Bleeding Brakes (shortlid)
I was taught how to bleed brakes by my self, no need for special tools. It's called gravity bleeding, you open bleeder and let gravity do the work, it's easier and faster do one at a time keep eye on rez make sure to refill and keep full when bleeding.
